Mealtime
The usual mealtime hours are: Breakfast: From 8:00am to 10:00am
Lunch: From 13:30 to 15:30
Dinner: From 21:00 to 23:00
Banks and Saving banks: From Monday to Friday: 08:30 am to 14:00.
Saturday: 09:00 am to 13:00
Shops
Shops usually open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 13:30/14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00. Sunday closed.
The department stores, shopping centres and some big stores open at lunch time and until 21:00.
Department store in the city: El Corte Inglés on Gran Vía, 9 & Gran Vía, 20 (music, books, electronics).

UNDERGROUND
The Metro Bilbao underground railway has 2 lines. Trains run from 06.00 to 22.45 from Sunday to Thursday. There is an all-night service on Fridays and Saturdays.

PARKING BILBAO
Parking in the streets of Bilbao is limited, with different colours marking different zones, each with its time limit and parking charges. Please look for the OTA/TAO signs.
The Palacio Euskalduna convention centre has an underground car park.

LANGUAGE
The Basque country has 2 official languages: Basque (called Euskera) and Spanish. Signage on roads, airports, official institutes and streets are most of the time in both languages.
